Release Night

Privacy

Short version: we keep your email to email you.

When you follow a title we store your email address, what you follow, and which alerts you want. We use that to send the alerts you asked for and a digest you can switch off. That is the only reason we have it.

We do not sell or share your email. We do not build profiles about you for advertisers. If we ever publish aggregate demand data (how many people are waiting for a film), it is counts across thousands of people, never anything about you.

We use a transactional email provider to deliver mail. We also use basic page analytics and a small first-party product funnel: title pages viewed, whether a search returned results, selected search results, outbound watch and official-show links, and confirmed follows. We do not store the words you type into search, collect the page you visited before Release Night, or follow you across other sites.

If our own catalog has no match, our server may send that title search to TVmaze to find a series you can choose to add. We do not send TVmaze your email, account, browser identifier, or IP address with that search.

Before sign-in, product events use a random identifier stored in your browser rather than your name or email. We respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track, and automatically delete these events after 13 months.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on email sign-in and alert forms to distinguish people from automated abuse. It processes the limited browser and device signals needed to perform that security check; it does not receive the email address you enter.

You can unsubscribe from everything in one click from any email, change categories at any time, or ask us to delete your account entirely by writing to privacy@releasenight.com.
